@DubyaWife And yet, he hasn't left the Republican Party, even temporarily. I am tired of this type of empty handwringing. These guys stood by for decades as the GOP steered this course. To call Trump an "aberration" is disingenuous. He is the culmination of what Republicans have actively promoted or at least tolerated their party becoming. These guys need to act or shut up. They don't get to avoid culpability by bemoaning what has happened on their watch.

GOP has for so long acted unethically with gerrymandering etc., and against the best interests of the country, that it may be irreversible. Neonazis and white supremacists are one big problem, but so is a large evangelical tribal cult that forgives anything in those they see as on their side and hates anyone they see as different.
