@Bonbon Is be pretty much fine with coconut carrot ginger soup. Beats our brown stuff and other brown stuff.
@Bonbon Good luck with the cafeteria. I work in a hospital. So I know what type of horrors might await.
@wildnfree It doesn't. That's the problem we've got.
@Qisid12 Can we send him to the Principal?
Still dangerous.
Roiled by claims, Alabama Senate race goes off the rails - Aurora Sentinel http://www.aurorasentinel.com/z-world/roiled-claims-alabama-senate-race-goes-off-rails/
@Velouria Hello and welcome!
@catlynne333 Nobody, just nobody, believes the Republicans are actually going to do anything about it.
@Saorsa That seems to be the chatter. Would seem odd that any kind of lawyer would send a tweet purportedly from his own client that could be taken as a confession, doesn't it?
@Fishesquire And she had the proportion right too, I think. She said half of Trump's supporters were the deplorables. And that's about his hardcore support after all that's happened.
@ZonaPellucida HRC got pilloried for her "basket of deplorables" comment, but I think she mostly had it right.
One thing that bothers me most is idea that there are wonderful people who are just misled enough to still be supporting Trump and what he stands for, and that it's our fault for disparaging them. Take Alabama as example. Maybe it's possible a "good person" is convinced child molestation charges against Moore are false. But that AND hatred of Muslims AND all immigrants AND support for white supremacists, neonazis and antisemites? I reject entirely the idea those can still be "good people."
Beau Willimon:
"Don't fall into despair over the #TaxScamBill. Let it motivate you. We fought the bans. We fought for the ACA. We fought to win big victories in the VA & NJ elections. We must keep fighting: in Alabama, the 2018 midterms & beyond.
Stay strong. β"
@ZonaPellucida If Trump knew that Flynn had committed a crime (lying to a federal agent) and he tried to stop the investigation, he's arguably obstructed justice. He's effectively admitted to that here. (I don't do criminal law anymore, but this is fairly straightforward)
@ZonaPellucida You're absolutely right - it would all come down to his knowledge and state of mind. I don't know that one tweet is sufficient to convict (or impeach) and he could argue that it was just inartfully worded and that he didn't mean that. But, if you read it literally, he does seem to admit knowing about the criminal offense at the time of firing Flynn, which is a big deal if he tried to make the investigation go away later on.
@Fishesquire I understand, but would the way he phrased it here stand up in court as likely saying he knew about the FBI lie ahead of trying to get Comey to drop it? NYT just says it's unclear what he meant, but maybe they're being overly cautious.
@ZonaPellucida No, but this guy is:
