One bit of positive news is that Lula seems to be beating Bolsanaro in Brazil.

@Tanukisrevenge The system here stops the metadata off photos to preserve privacy. On some phones, that includes the info about whether it was in landscape or portrait mode, and it defaults to landscape. If you take photos in landscape format they should look right. I think it’s on the list of things that may be fixed someday.
