JUST IN: British Defence Minister Ben Wallace has confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to free Crimea by the end of the year.

The Ukrainian military has already started clearing the front lines in preparation for a possible counteroffensive.

Wallace also raised reservations about Ukraine's ability to join NATO in the foreseeable future.
