A little note about that lack of Russian made 25mm ammo...
There is one other country that uses a copy of that gun that fires the same oddball 25mm ammo, it's called the called the Type 61, it's made by China and still in use by the Chinese navy.
China has never exported their Type 61's.
Which means that China is probably supplying the ammo for these Russian abominations.

Thing 1: The Ukrainians are still fighting in Bakhmut and the Russians have been unable to close the gap west of the city.

@NotTheFakeNate I'm reasonably sure that the only reason the Ukrainians fought so long to hold Bakhmut is that the Russians wanted it really badly.
Wagner is wrecked. The painfully restored Russian regular units are fully committed. And the Russians are rationing artillery ammo all along the front.
The Ukrainians are just waiting for the ground to dry up.
@NotTheFakeNate It's not as bad as the media will make it seem.
Tactically and strategically it's not a loss of anything for the Ukrainians except the city and the manpower they used to defend it.
It shortens the line that Ukraine has to defend and frees up troops/units for use elsewhere along the line.
For the Russians it's a disaster. The city is wrecked beyond any possible logistical usefulness to them for at least six months. And they've lost an estimated 15,000+ troops to get it.

Awaiting confirmation, but geolocated video is already in the wild.
Russia beyond scraping the bottom of the barrel. They've turned the barrel upside down and are banging on the bottom of it.
The vehicle is an MTLB which first went into service in the late 1950's. Russia still has an estimated 3000 of them in reserve stockpiles. They were all made in the Kharkiv Tank Factory.
The R2D2 turret is from a 1960's era gunboat and mounts two 25mm guns designed in 1945. Ammo will be scarce since Russia stopped using 25mm in the early 1970's.
