Trying to sleep but theres a helicopter hovering. Think it over local hospital. And that means there's one already on the helipad. Which usually means a large rta on a motorway but tonight.... Who knows?

thing is the social distancing isn't only gonna last for a few weeks

once UK put the FULL measurements in place it will last for up to 18mths at a minimum

2yrs some experts are saying

can't expect a few weeks of social distancing to make everything hunky dory and back to normal we go

viruses don't work to a timeline like that

things ALWAYS get worse before they get better

This is surreal. I'm on my sofa working as part of a team to work out how all uni admin and support functions can be delivered from home. Foolishly, I assumed this would be in our disaster planning plan. Turns out no one modelled for something this huge.

Really feeling for my neighbour. She's being induced on Saturday to give bitlrth to her first child...

She's being quite stoic but I could tell she was worried. Also worried cos she couldn't get any paracetamol so I've offered her some of my stock if she needs it and have offered to cook her some cakes :)
