I think this thread nicely encapsulates the tensions between accepting that govs may in times of crisis need to take extraordinary and authoritarian measures and how you might square that circle when those measures are taken by a gov that you fundementally don't trust and percieve wants to be authitarian (or down right fascist). This applies in UK and US for sure atm.
