Less FDA and no FDA are indistinguishable in my view based on how much safety they are able to provide these days. Many small clueless companies operate with no clearance or clue and need to be shut down. FDA is strained to keep up with the current world, if the chatGPT mess takes hold of health decisions, they will be hapless with their current size, let alone a SC haircut

@LlamaMountainStudioArts I'm not talking about elimination of federal agencies. I'm talking about weakening them. I currently create devices cleared by the FDA and have consulted companies that had no clue what they were doing. If the agency that's already strained is looking at them, next time more will slip through and cause harm to people. I'd rather have a state regulator at that point.

But supreme court is actively looking to reduce federal oversight of things, so if it comes to it, we will have to chose between our needs and cancelling all drugs, etc to meet the new FDA and other requirements, or even no FDA to oversee any of it.

@LlamaMountainStudioArts if we don't cross state lines, there is nothing the federal government can do, so only states with drug manufacturing will have access to drugs necessary to keep our population healthy. i guess GOP wants people at a health level enough to work but not enough to be independent.

NJ and NY have enough drug and rights access to be self sufficient without crossing federal lines. They can self govern and ignore the CDC, HHS, FDA if they ban certain procedures
