I'm doing "Books for Treats" in the library this week (check out a book, get a treat) and I just had three kids come in obviously for the treat and not the book.
...yeah, but y'all left with books so I win 😆
I had one yesterday ask if they could check out a book and immediately turn it back in, and I said "yeah, but you'll miss out on the book."
...Kid took the book with them. 😆
I want them to know I mean it when I say "you don't have to like the book. You don't even have to finish it. I'm not keeping track."
(What I'm not telling them is that even immediate returns boost my circ numbers, and higher numbers mean more funding.)
