How many times have you bought "Sharp" cheddar cheese, only to be sorely disappointed?

It's really hard to find the good stuff

@XSGeek

I don't trust it unless it tells me how many months/years it's been aged. Doesn't even start to taste sharp to me until 18 months, and preferably three years.

Cabot and Tillamook are reliable, but both do have "sharp" cheddars that don't quite qualify, IMO.

@XSGeek

Cabot has a three year that's good--but a bit harder to find.

@XSGeek

My favorite used to be Bandon, but Tillamook bought them out.

@XSGeek Because of lactose intolerance, sharp, dry cheeses like cheddar cheese are all I can eat.

@Dashdrum @XSGeek

Goat cheese is also very low in lactose!

Reminds me, I want to grab some goat brie before my birthday
