I know that we won't know who won the election on Tuesday night! I know that it may take sometime. But I'm on the fence about watching the election play out on Tuesday night. I remember 2016 and when they called Florida for trump. I went to bed at that moment because I was so anxious. I got up in the middle of the night and saw the final outcome. I still can't put into words how I felt, except it felt like someone had died! ππ«π’
@Spagesgallo1 Yep, I remember election night 2016. When #Florida was called for #Trump, I turned to my wife and said, "That's it. Trump is president."
I don't think Florida will make the difference this year, unless it flips for #HarrisWalz2024, which to me seems unlikely (since I live here).
@Spagesgallo1 I've been a political consultant off and on for decades. I knew how the numbers had to work out that night. I knew Hillary's poll numbers had been sliding. She needed Florida; when she lost it, I knew the math probably wouldn't work out.
But she did win the national popular vote by almost three million. π€¬ electoral college ...
I think the Dems could flip Florida if they put more effort into it, but they haven't. This year is better than recent years.

Wow! Nice career! Definitely not boring! It must be interesting for you to follow elections and know how the numbers will impact an outcome.
As for Hillary, I know! The Electoral College is beyond antiquated and needs to be abolished. Elections should solely be based on who has the most votes. It's infuriating that a small select few gets to determine the final outcome of the election.
It is too bad that the Dems didn't put more focus on Florida. They really need to up their game
