The Sahara dust has arrived. During the summer, bands of dust from the Sahara Desert blow west across the Atlantic, affecting our weather patterns.

These two photos are just before sunrise, looking east, about 40 minutes apart.

The heat index at sunrise was 91°F (33°C). I went cycling but cut it short. Too hot, too humid, too dusty.
