My God. Mike Johnson wrote the foreword for a book that spreads the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory claiming that Democrats are part of a “pedophile cult.” It also uses homophobic slurs for Pete Buttigieg.

Johnson said he “endorses” the book.

In this season of thanks, I'm reflecting on the blessing of progress.
COVID no longer controls our lives.
More people are working than ever before.
Americans are building again, innovating again, dreaming again.
The American story is one of progress and resilience, of always moving forward.
I'm thankful for that story. And I'm so thankful to continue writing it with you.

@th3j35t3r What's with this "CoSo's so white" narrative? Most don't use a picture as an avatar and among those that do a lot of them aren't white. I'm not white. I think it maybe has something to do with that there isn't a huge amount of discussion about being discriminated against for being a POC because that isn't a problem we're actively experiencing on this platform. Folks come here to talk about other things because racial iniquity isn't being rubbed in our faces in our mentions.

That's not the case with American " #religion " which has no hint of challenge to 'the world' and exists solely to justify the status quo and comfort the comfortable. There's nothing spiritual about it; it's just a flag flown by the self-satisfied that proclaims their own superiority. Its ethics are anti-ethics: it openly encourages greed, hatred, and ignorance and denounces generosity, compassion, and wisdom. It's been bought up, corporatized, hollowed out, made into banal advertising slogans.
