London Marathon today - looks like a nice day for it. I missed the start of the programme, but it looks as though Rosie Jones will be racing in an interesting way- courtesy of a lovely guy! Starting the women’s wheelchair athletes’ race, too! Best of luck to everyone… Equal prize money for all athletes, as well!

I was just watching “Three Up Two Down”, a sitcom from the 80s. Two things struck me - one was very prescient; something about not wanting to bump into R*lf H*rr*s in Australia, and one comment addressed to a GP - “Bless the NHS - don’t let the Tories grind you down” - a definite case of plus ça change…

A new enormous venue in Manchester- 20,500 (all-seated); 23,500 (with standing) - is open for business now. I really don’t like these mega- venues- I doubt how good the views are for most, my experience at Wembley Stadium shows that the sound isn’t great (although it was a great experience to be there) and I’m not sure that wheelchair users get a great deal in terms of where they sit. Am I being overly pessimistic? Does anyone have any more positive experiences?
