@WDEFNews12 #TimeSaverTraffic: TDOT reporting police activity at MM 176.2 on I-24E, just W of Chattanooga. This is creating a slowdown and backups farther west towards Browns Ferry Road, and out towards the Tennessee Welcome Center. Alternate route suggested.

"I'm just baffled by so much mainstream political, strategic and economic thinking, which totally excludes the climate and #ecologicalcrisis, as if it's trivial. The reality is it is going to change everything. Change is coming, whether you like it or not."

#WDEFWeather #News12Weather - Hot start for Friday night football in the Tennessee River Valley. After the sun sets, warm and a bit humid with light winds, shouldn't affect the QB's throwing much. #GoSports

“These whistleblowers have been beaten down, ostracized and punished, when all they were trying to do was to protect us,” said Kyla Bennett, director of science policy at Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, an organization that helped the scientists draft the complaints to the EPA inspector general."
@Dane Looks like I picked the wrong day not to invest in Sharpies.
"Trump’s insistence that he was right — and SharpieGate — should have been a 5-minute story. But it wasn’t. CNN and other media outlets kept it going. They know Trump is watching, and they like an interactive Trump feud."
"But I'm ready for cold, and snow." And so seconded....
I, for one, enjoy a good blather.

No severe weather in our forecast any time soon. Next best chance for rain/thunder (such as it is) will be well into next week, along with a hot start to the Autumn season this weekend.

My favorite repost for #TalkLikeAPirateDay: From the wonderful #LittleDee #webcomic from Christopher Baldwin, a great #seashanty - #WeRoguesOfWool - from over a course of several day's worth of strips.
Sadly, no longer being drawn, a wonderful comic with a lot of humor and heart. (www.littledee.net)
#WDEFWeather #News12Weather #BlipCast Thursday Evening: A few more clouds today, a few less clouds into the next several days. That means more sunshine and that means hotter temperatures.

#SomewhereDeepInTheNight "Get pulled in to this black hole image. You read that right! @NASAWebb’s Mid-Infrared Instrument captured a #supermassiveblackhole gobbling gas and dust. The energy it emits as it feeds makes the spiral galaxy’s core shine like a six-pointed pink "star""

Listening to music and shutting off social media helps tremendously. Sometimes you have to close out the noise to help your own computer upstairs work better.
Honestly, one of the best things (for me, at least) is trying to make the world a little bit better. On MASH, when Dr. Hunnicutt was asked if he was trying to change the world, he said, "No, just our little corner of it." Little acts of good to counteract the darkness are the best.
