Florida, Texas, North Dakota, Idaho, Oklahoma, and other states are rushing bills through their state legislatures that, only a few years ago, would have been tossed out by the U.S. Supreme Court as unconstitutional.

They're doing this because the Dobbs decision signaled that the current Court is ready to accommodate extreme right-wing culture war ideologies.

It's not a new thing; this authoritarianism was there all the time, only checked by a SCOTUS that still enforced the Constitution.
