I've always hated/avoided the roll call part of the convention. It's usually soooo boring. But that one was so much fun!

The bites are painful. When I lived on the North Shore, I had to always check inside shoes before putting them on.

Once in a while, our friends would hack off palm fronds, looking for scorpions & centipedes. Once one of each was found, they'd put them in a bucket to fight each other.
