Bought some peanut butter whiskey for my lovely bride. I consider it a gateway to getting her to drink real whiskey. But....I'm having a nip myself. Truth be told it's not too bad if you set your expectations accordingly.

Anyway...psyching myself up for a short 5K trail run event. Got some beautiful weather dialed in. That means sun, not much wind, and mid 30s for a temp. Gonna be sloppy but at the end will be an awesome lunch catered by a local eatery.

In the heart of the dreary winter months I caught a good vibe from all the colors as I made dinner last night.

We got a couple inches of snow yesterday and school got closed. I reminded my teenagers about this day 10 years ago ( 10 years exactly) where I cleared all the snow myself. Then I kicked their butts outside to shovel. To their credit they also did a neighbors driveway. 😁

Anybody else ever play on-call pager roulette? On a Friday evening we would all put our pagers into an empty pitcher in the middle of the table. Usually representing 3 or more companies. Most of us were tech and or app dev support but from a half dozen or more disciplines. If a pager went off everybody reached in and grabbed one. With some quiet support from the real owner the person choosing the active pager had to call in. Might not be your department or even your company. Fun times.

Saw this outside my house tonight. Got a warm feeling about the unknown dog and his hooman out for a walk.
