I hate it when I see something on Facebook (don't judge me) that I think is really funny. Darn them anyway.

Mission accomplished. He actually ate two of them. πŸŽ‚β˜•
Thank you for all the well wishes. This place is awesome.

Hello world.
Having a little personal quiet time before the house wakes up.
Today is my dad's 81st birthday. He will not see 82. All he wants for a present is to see his grandkids, a cup of quality strong coffee, and a chocolate cupcake. And I can get him all of that. Today will be a win.
Here's hoping also get your win today.

Just started reading this. Very good so far.
I could definitely use a lot more of giving a lot fewer Fs.

Monday afternoon respite:
Fresh cup of coffee and a HUGE dark chocolate bar from a client/partner. Came with it's own hammer for breaking off pieces. Note the full size paper plate for scale. Yummy! This will be enough to keep the demons away for a couple more hours.

"Yes, we have 100% external security camera coverage. Why do you ask?"

Helping a couple middle school kids do an experiment with jello and laser pointers. Their tests are totally flawed but it's not my place to say. They are having a blast.

Yep. This is a thing. Who knew?
Not too bad with the pretzel chips.

I know everybody is fed up with food pics today (see what I did there?) 😎
But...omg...definitely *not* cardboard

Took a shot at making my dad's stuffing. Looks right and smells right. Fingers crossed now that it won't taste like cardboard later. 😏 πŸ—

Saw this dog yesterday just totally chilling in his sweater. I can say without a doubt I have never been this cool.

Going through what equated to my mom's journal yesterday. Mostly poems and stories written by people she knew, with a few of her own musings as well. This cartoon 100% fits the way my mom dealt with her grief and pain. She was stoic beyond measure and consistent in her message to be humble and kind to everyone since it is nearly impossible to know what crud someone else is going through. I am not surprised she clipped it out and put it in here. May you also find some inner strength from it.

Sitting here about to enjoy my breakfast. Feeling lucky and humbled to be able to do this on Armistice Day. I continue to hold out hope our country can also find a way past the ugliness and get to a better way of being. Wish us luck. And coffee. Wish us that too.

This X 8= finished! Can spend today working on the other zillion things on my list.

That time when you told your middle schooler the dentist needs to make room before braces go on.

I may have posted these before. But I really miss my mom's fun taste in deck furnishings. So here, have some gargoyles....again.

Apologies for the sloppy crop.
Top: a note from my son's high school to all parents.
Bottom: exchange between my wife, son, and me immediately following the school message.

Took me an hour to stop shaking. All is okay.

Here is your daily reminder to hug all your loved ones. And as many others as will allow it.

Good morning CoSo. It is good to have choices. I'm sure Jester's mantra about the balance of good and evil fits in here somehow. 😎
