Can’t stress enough the importance of stretching before hitting the trail. For prospective I’m 6’4” and Ziggy is over 5’ when he stands up. A little taller with bed assistance. Enjoyed my walk with Ziggy today.

It was a good day for Ziggy. A trip to the dog park for him followed up with a breakfast bagel for me🤣

Ziggy’s new favorite restaurant in Vegas, Bodega Bagels 🥯, the cooks made him his own breakfast of eggs and bacon. He thought it tasted better than it looked. Licked clean.

Early morning coffee ☕️ with a view 👀. Suppose I’ll hold off a little on our morning walk.

Ziggy can’t decide where he’s going to sleep tonight. Don’t be fooled his final landing spot will be smack dab in the middle of our bed. These are just warm up laps….or is that naps?

Ziggy using his nonverbal skills to say “hey old man get off your ass and use those thumbs to open the door before I leave ya a little something right here on the tile floors.”

You know the old adage that dogs take on the characteristics of their owners? Well Ziggy and I are catching a few 💤 on the morning of Christmas Eve. Be well everyone!

Success! After 4 days of dragging his new dog bed in and out of hotel rooms Ziggy finally accepted his fate and began using it this morning. Although it didn’t stop him from trying out every couch 🛋️ in the place. 🤣

Doing his predawn yoga routine Ziggy slides into his version of the Downward Dog. He calls it the Upside Downward Dog Preparing for a 5 hour ride on the couch in the van today. It’s a dog’s life

For those playing along at home. It’s Day 3 of the new dog bed and Ziggy continues to find more comfortable places to rest at every stop of our trip. It’s still a virgin dog bed.

Ziggy is getting the hang of life on the road. Day 3 and we just missed a NorCal earthquake on the coast. We take it as a sign to keep motoring south.

I’m happy to report Ziggy’s brand new dog bed we bought for this trip still unused. You’ll notice it all shiny and new in the upper right of the first photo. He thinks it’s a good idea to bring his milk bone onto the bed. That’s one tired dog.

Day 2 of on the road to Las Vegas with Ziggy. He’s now graduated from sleeping on the couch all day to being my co-pilot. Slowly getting the hang of being a road dog.

Ziggy’s first night on the road to being a snowbird. We bought him a new dog bed for the trip and he’s laying alongside it in the hotel room. Real glad I packed that.

Day 2 of tree work. Had a plum tree leaning on the shed. It’s now not. Sure not going to miss that grinding sound of the wood chipper. Can’t get the movie Fargo out of my head.
