Let me point out some history that Republicans have forgotten: when Republicans had the majority in both houses, they tried to hold President Clinton and the country hostage.
They shutdown the government.
EXCEPT it backfired.
The American people blamed the Republican Party, not Bill Clinton.
It’s an election year. Trump and GOP really look pretty bad.
This will not go well for the GOP. It will just confirm what people suspect is true.
