In the USA, men are responsible for 80% of all violent crimes and 95% of all homicides. When it comes to mass shootings, males make up a whopping 99% of perpetrators.
Male violence is the big problem in other countries as well, but we only see the staggering rate of specifically gun violence here in the USA because of the sheer abundance and availability of guns - in the hands of violent men.
It's the guns. It's males with guns. Imagine if women were doing 99% of all mass shootings.
