I seen something that made a good point

When cellphones were just coming out we couldn't wait to spend anywhere from.$2-5 for a ringtone

Now that they're essentially free (Zedge) we keep our phones on vibrate . Does anyone use ringtones anymore?

I do.
Used to have The Imperial March, until it went off during a Star Wars Role Play and it would never be that awesome again.

Now, it's quite literally a classic "mechanical" phone ring.

I do, I have different ringtones for some different people (just like family and work, or clients, not all my contacts lol), so I know exactly whoโ€™s calling me when Iโ€™m not around the phone. @Timmah1979

I do. Hardly anyone gets to call me โ€” they have to be in my Contacts โ€” but for the most important of those who are, I've made my own custom ringtones in Garageband.

One is the "Red phone" from "Our Man Flint"; another is Jason Statham's ringtone from the movie "Crank".

@Timmah1979

I used an open-source audio program (which may not exist anymore? "AUDACITY"), to create my own.

I have a Swiss "yodeling choir" concert, that I recorded myself, as prime ringtone; also some created from music or films ("here's looking at you")...

@Timmah1979 I used an editor to create mine. Bagpipes are not offered on many phone and never found one to download. So I edited "Scotland the Brave" into a ring tone.
