For those of you with EVs, I highly recommend the “A Better Route Planner” app for long trips. It not only tells you where the chargers are but it works with google or apple maps for navigation and will let you see if there are any machines that are broken or occupied and what restaurants, hotels, and even dog friendly spaces are available around the chargers. It’s fantastic.

A good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast have restored my faith in humanity. Even Mona is feeling the good vibes, especially after getting some scrambled egg on her dog food. Today we’re headed to St. Augustine, Florida. Can’t wait to see the ocean.

Day 2 is much better so far since we got up early and are planning to stop before dark this time. Charging has been easy and inexpensive, and all the stops have been great. Feeling energized again and enjoying the adventure.

Driving my EV from Missouri to Florida is an adventure. Even more so with my anxious doggo and my mother. No one needs this kind of excitement after midnight. No one.

Zero days since a stranger last tried to start a fight with me on the internet.

This is in regards to Ann Coulter’s comments about Tim Walz’s son.

Reminding myself that I don’t have to participate in every fight that’s offered to me.

I’ve been selected to be the Democratic committee chair leading into the election.

Off to get in a little good trouble, organizing with our local democratic committee.

Today, I set up my 87-year-old aunt with her first smart phone after years of her refusing to give up her flip phone. It took 30 minutes before she said “Why didn’t I do this before?”

SUCCESS!

Off like a herd of turtles this morning. But we are off.

Oof. 83% humidity. Even though it’s only 74°, I am struggling with exertion outdoors as I pack the car.

Mona’s backseat doggie hammock is in place, the car’s tailgate tent is ready, all the food and doggie items are packed. Now there’s only the suitcases left.

Have I finished laundry?

No. 😬

Practicing real-world Tetris as we pack up for a cross-country road trip that starts tomorrow. We were supposed to leave on Wednesday, but we delayed in order to avoid driving head-on into a hurricane. 🌀 Looking forward to visiting family and sight-seeing along the way.

I saw a cybertruck yesterday in matte black. I know Tesla sells wraps for this monstrosity, but I pretty sure the owner did the job themselves in their driveway with dollar store spray paint, which is what that vehicle deserves, honestly.

Seriously, Shady Vance deserves Trump. That stink will never wash off. He’ll have a long life of being tainted with it.

A friend of mine said he was worried about Tim Walz’s age. I said I wasn’t because “He's got a cool dad/cool teacher vibe. He's warm and genuine and kind and honest….Meanwhile, Shady Vance is fixated on other people's genitals and what they do with them. He may be a lot younger, but his ideas are crusty af.”

Hey Missouri folks, don’t forget to vote tomorrow! 🗳️
