One does not need to fully embrace religious doctrines or even believe in an afterlife to possess a sense of curiosity about such matters. While I would not assert with certainty that a divine being exists, I cannot deny the profound sense of connection I feel internallyโa deep, almost gravitational inclination toward believing that there is something greater beyond the scope of our earthly existence.

I love the way you said that! ๐ฏ โค๏ธ
@TheNewsOwl fter practicing Catholicism and learning catechism for many years, I reached the conclusion that metaphysics is bullshit. The only thing that matters is being at peace with one's conscience and being a positive presence for others and society as a wholeโsomething that is already hard to achieve, perhaps even harder than belief.

@damian_reloaded You learned the Catechism! That's not as easy as people think. I admire your desire to be a pisitive presence in the world. You're right. It's hard.

The connection is essential to belonging. I find it through music. Coherent vibrations of sound that seem to match the frequency of the atoms in my whole being.
@Mfieck Yesss, that is something I feel as well. I find there are many ways one can find that.
@TheNewsOwl Faith! You have faith, even if you can not put a name or a doctrine to it.
#religion (at its best) is a framework on which can hang the expression of our faith.
Even humanism in its various forms might be described as a non-theistic "religion" of sorts when looked at from the standpoint of faith in the "human spirit".
