@LlamaMountainStudioArts I've read that alpaca wool (right term?) is superior to most other fibers if it's harvested and prepared properly - like cashmere. But i didn't know they were hollow, nor about the polar beats, and now I have a whole new research line to investigate🤣

I want to make a picture frame

But for decoration I want to inlay a contrasting wood

I usually use a dedicated tongue and groove plane set to go that, but I don't have one small enough

Used a plough plane to make the groove

Had to make a set of 3/16" guides for my thicknessing jig to make the proper sized inlay

Decided now was a good time to sharpen everything

Now i need to make a mitering jig so I can make the inlay seemless

And this is why projects take me forever🙈
