Searching for affordable housing and beginning to think that the whole "being housed" thing may not be for me.
@TheCard My hometown keeps getting named "most affordable" for housing in the US.
For a 1br here you need to make $60k a year minimum. Nearly every job tops out at $55k, unless you are an engineer or a teacher with a decade of service in one school.
The whole "being housed" thing isn't for Americans, apparently.

My hometown is on that list, too. The median salary is $37K but the rent average is on par with Lucern, Switzerland. No joke.
