Use your system (keyboard) emoji menu,.
On Mac click
Control + Command + Spacebar
This will work on any application on Mac.and can also make permanent in your menu bar.
On a Windows computer, use
" Win + ; "
or
" Win + . "

Cutting and pasting from another application also works.

i prefer to use the shortcuts/shortcode for CoSo emoji
for any emoji just
:insert-any-emoji-name:
๐ so for a flag like Ukraines it would be
:flag *then* -uk:

i find it much faster than opening the emoji picker thingy
