Okay, I’ll play. No particular order mostly read. Some I just keep opening up because of the atmosphere and re-reading. The Evelyn Waugh book here was incredible and so going to reread. George Bataiile has been an obsession for a very long time. Subversive, brilliant and a visionary all at once. He had a secret shamanist society formed of like minded writers and artists who plotted against Hitler.

@TheAbbotTrithemius I've only ever read one Murakami (Hard-Boiled Wonderland blah blah) but man, it stuck with me.

@Expecting_Words

I had some catching up to do after years of not reading him (and being a huge fan).

Hey @evistre, if you like Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, you will love Killing Commendatore..I could not put that thing down and pretty much didn't want to do anything but disappear into it's mysterious story.

Colorless Tsukura Tazaki is also very good.
