I am no stranger to grieving beloved pets, I’ve been an animal person all my life and have always had as many as I can support/sustain.

So I feel qualified to say: there is something much harder when you make the decision to euthanize than when a pet dies ‘naturally ’. I’ve done both many times.

No matter how obvious the choice to euthanize is, to alleviate pain and suffering, it is still just SO heartbreaking. On top of the heartbreak of losing them.

I’m still grieving my girlie Abby put down March 9, 2023. Forcing myself to look at her pictures. 💔 💦

i still can't look at photos of my sweet parrotlet, gone since 2019.

it's hard to lose sweetness and companionship like theirs.
