First step on the next fork in my journey... back to school! Figured that even if I don't decide to re-enter the workforce, should do something to keep the ol' grey matter engaged.

Day one at SANS Technology Institute for a grad certificate in cybersecurity. Let's see just how much I've forgotten and how much the landscape has changed!

Been a rough month and a half or so... Sorry I haven't been around as much since pulling the muskrat plug, but I was part of the holiday tech layoff "surge," and I've been taking some time to reconnect with family and decompress from all the hustle-n-bustle. Fortunately, we're in a good enough spot that I'm not in any rush to jump back into the arena. Besides catching up on all the shows I've missed out on, checking into going back to school w/ STI (Sans). But first - another nap. 😉

Plug pulled. Checked in at the birb for the first time in weeks, and changed my background.

Welp, it was nice while it lasted - but I think this mornin's actions definitely confirmed the Musk-pocalypse is underway.

Taking a quick second to welcome all the new folks, on this week that feels like a month full of Mondays.

Straight up, CoSo is different than the birb. I kind of view it as that long overdue country vacation you treat yourself to, vs the hustle & bustle and constant motion of city life.

There's a reason for that - "traditional" social media is about driving engagement, so you click more, so you view more advertisements... that's how they make $$.

To the more experienced CoSoNauts - is there a way to pin/post a link for new users, on how to slow down the community firehose? If the influx I suspect is coming materializes, it might be a bit overwhelming for those not familiar with ways to filter content into columns more friendly to their interests.
