Republicans know there is absolutely no chance of actually impeaching Biden, but the books HAVE to balance. Trump was impeached, Biden MUST be impeached
But, hey, at least if they're busy ineffectually trying to impeach Biden, House Republicans aren't fucking something else up
@mcfate @Stonekettle They can't put together any serious legislation that would improve anything...nada, zero, zilch. They sure complain a lot though 🙄
And we all know how much voters enjoy electing ineffective trolls who do nothing but complain and blame everyone else for their own failures.
@mcfate @Stonekettle The voters who elect ineffective trolls hate the rest of us..I feel like they know and revel in it 🤣🤣🤣
Okay, but they're a faction of a minority. They're more noisy than numerous, and you don't get extra votes for being loudly obnoxious.
Let's not overlook the only-increasing numbers of Gen Z voters who hate their guts and who've been observing for the past several years that they can actually swing elections.
@mcfate @Stonekettle This 💯 % gives me hope. I hope they show up and it's a watershed moment.
Well, they probably don't need a lot of reminding that Rethuglicans seem to favor a lot of things they don't, like people getting shot en masse, fucking up the climate, taking over women's reproductive anatomy, making life miserable for anyone not white and heterosexual, and helping people with too much money amass more of it.
@mcfate @Stonekettle ~basically incels...
@mcfate @Stonekettle Let us hope so.
I never hope for things, it's a waste of time and energy.
Spit in one hand, hope in the other, which gets wetter?
@mcfate @Stonekettle That only works because spit is wet while hope is intangible. If you rephrase it to which hand stays dry then hope is the winner. 😉
Don't lose hope, my friend. We need it just as much as water or air. We need it to live.
Okay, you're conflating having a good attitude with wishing for things.
I don't spend a lot of time expecting things to be one way or another. Outcomes out of my control aren't matters for my concern.
The opposite of "hoping for things" isn't "despair", it's "waiting to see how things work out".
@mcfate @Stonekettle Maybe I am. I'll consider that for next time. But you're comparing apples to oranges. That is also problematic and leads to incorrect assumptions.
May your glass be forever half empty if that is what you wish.
I feel as though you've never met a cliché you didn't think worth sharing.
I'm the one expressing an opinion, you're the one "hoping" to influence things with the power of wishful thinking.
That's problematic, but not for me. You're the one who'll keep suffering disappointment when you don't get your way.
Let's try to keep things straight here.
@mcfate @Stonekettle I do like using metaphors and such. I'm some combination of a pragmatist, a realist, and an idealist. I dip into pessimism much more often than optimism which is my default. I must exert energy to stay positive but I find everything is just better that way.
Anyway, I wish you a good evening.
@Stonekettle That's a silver lining at least. They want to make a mess and be on camera doing it. Who are we to stand in their way? Let the stench of their actions speak for themselves.
@Stonekettle exactly! After that, we can think of more impossible tasks for them. They can impeach Clinton again.
@Stonekettle They're trying to normalize impeachment and inure the public to actual wrongdoing. If everyone gets impeached, it means nothing when the other side does it for legitimate reasons.
It's so transparent, but people fall for it anyway.
@Stonekettle
They're fucking up their chances of winning re-election.
