The last time I had a contemporary, "cutting edge" video card was the winter of '04. Mind you, this is last year's generation but it's a gigantic upgrade over what I had previously and all thanks to my patrons and the people who watched my videos w/o adblockers. One of the BIG real time strategy city builder series that come from that period of gaming history, is Settlers. And despite city building games being one of my favorite genres, as well as a focus for my channel, I never got around to playing any of the titles till relatively recently and the title that was suggested to start with was Settlers 2. I did not have the OG version on hand though, so I played the 3D engine remake of the 10th Anniversary Edition. #gaming
