@Susandoyle This made me giggle. My thumb is soooooo brown, the only plants I've successfully kept alive for longer than a year is a set of 8 little air plants. And that's because all Inhave to do is soak them in water for 20 mins every two weeks 😂🤣😅

Well, it happened again, my back 40 is flooded.

2024 is off to a wet start, 2nd time in 2 months...

We've seen river up but not rising above the banks in the prior three years we've been here.

Dad of my heart (FIL) my 2nd Mom (MiL) have both had a lot going on, and now my #1 Mom is also having some issues. Sis and I are worried about dementia beginnings.

Sis has no clue on elder care stuff so I guess the silver lining to the in-laws situation is I know what to do now for Mom. Step 1: get her referral to neurologist going.

Step 2: Go wherever it leads and make the best of it

Y'all, mask, mask, mask and wash, wash, wash your hands after being out and about. There's a really bad stomach virus going around. If you do, you'll hopefully save yourselves some tummy trauma

I took today off and now that I've made the decision to wait and see for a few months, I'm in a much better space, have let go of my own anger and sadness for a bit.

On Monday if you'd told me I'd be happy and looking forward to the weekend, I'd not have believed you. It's amazing how reframing to a gratitude attitude helps you get there ☺️😊

And the cherry on top is my clients are also top notch folks for the most part, and I feel like I'm providing a noble service in helping to protect them.

Unfortunately some things outside our sphere of control has made changes to policies some of us may be unable to live with and are actively looking for other jobs.

Change is inevitable, but I was so hoping my unicorn work time would last a bit longer. Now I'm weighing my options while being grateful for all the unicorn moments I've got left

My time with my current employer has been the literal best of my career. I came here because I was interested in a specific security product, and I'd get to be involved in those projects. And now I'm at the point of managing large scale implementations for high touch clients, which I love. When you hire by recommendation for culture in a multicultural leadership team, you end up with a best of the best dream team, and I have loved work for 4 years now
