We should give empaneled jurors snazzy outfits and/or robes.
We give teenagers robes when giving them a piece of paper signifying we (almost) trust their life decisions. We should honor the magnitude of folks deciding the life of another with greater symbolism.
Also, let's end plea bargaining. If the crime isn't large enough to need a jury, it's not a crime worth trying.
