After I found my ex-husband's stepmother's brains between her mattress and box spring in 1996 and completely fell apart and his family eventually told me to suck it up and not dwell I started smoking again after 4 years quit. Sandi would want me to quit smoking. I thought about her every time I lit up.
Just a reminder - brains glitter. It's beautiful and horrifying. If you're not a medical professional and you encounter a person's brains in chunks you will likely lose part of yourself and never retrieve it.
@Shelter I am sorry you went through that. For the record, there are several situations that haunt me as a medical professional. PTSD is a thing, a hard thing, and I hope you have a therapist to help.
Every therapist I ever dealt with made me worse because when you're Born Female in 1971 autism isn't a thing and you pay for that assumption dearly for the rest of your life. I don't trust anyone anymore.
