I have a new pair of HOKA BONDI 8 that are giving me knee and leg problems! My wife also has a new pair of HOKA’S ProFly with the same issues. Reviews state that the excessive cushioning could be the culpert! Anyone else experiencing issues with HOKA shoes???

You should always do the right thing, not for pride or publicity but because it's the right thing to do.
But you should never shy away from doing the right thing because somebody says "Your opponents are really going to take advantage of that! Think of the optics!"
Your opponents are likely to lie about you whatever you do, and their supporters aren't going to care if the accusations about you are true or not. You can't escape criticism by failing to do something right.
So do the right thing.
