Recruiter reached out to me about a software dev position. First 3 weeks are remote, then they require on-site near Dallas, TX or Tempe, AZ.

I'm not moving that far. I'll move to San Antonio, but that's because it's closer to my s/os family and still close enough to mine.

I feel like the concept of asking someone to relocate for a job that can be done remotely is approaching outright rude. I havent ever even seen my current employers offices and live halfway across the US. It's not necessary.

@FreedomATX My employer is reopening their offices now and also doing a push to hire more remote workers. So I'm the only one on my team in my state but technically I'm supposed to go in so I can be on Zoom with my team all day. Fortunately my boss feels the same as I do and I'm still WFH.
