i wrote this 10 years ago. it is, unfortunately, still relevant:

Typical GOP strategy. Cut funding for a government agency so that it can't do its job. Claim that the government agency is broken, flawed, and useless. Sell that government agency to the private sector or end it entirely and let people just fend for themselves. Wash, rinse, repeat.
. It needs to be stopped. We need to stand up and make it stop.

This is also the last day you can register to vote in Georgia. And there's no better reason to vote than to protect your personal autonomy from state tyranny.

Just got my ballot and my mom did too. I’m so happy she’s still on the rolls as she hasn’t voted since 2016.

Springfield, Ohio changed everything for her and she felt she has to act to keep that orange nightmare out.

I just looked at my voter registration status and I saw that it’s inactive, although I voted in the summer primary. I made some calls and was told this is a huge problem in Ga. I’m now re-registering.

Voter registration deadline is TOMORROW.
