Good morning, CoSo!

It's sometimes said that you can't bring people around to a better way of living by nagging them, and that it's better to lead by example. I suppose that is generally true; I haven't found that criticizing people's habits to their fact produces anything but defensiveness.

On the other hand, there are a lot of examples for people to follow out there, and there's no guarantee that they're going to follow *yours*, or even that yours is the best to follow.

And what examples are you yourself following? Maybe the most exemplary thing you can do is to choose a really good example to follow, and make that be the example that you set for other people.

@DavidSalo I try to respect others without walking over their personal rights, in the same manner I hope they respect mine.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep my mouth shut if I think something is really off base, but the chances of me changing their minds online are slim. There is a much bigger chance I play into their hands to argue over something I won’t change my my on.
