A bit of beauty from today’s walk. It’s cold for North Carolina, in the 40s, but it is also beautifully sunshiny. My favorite weather! What’s mother nature doing where you are?

Ghost dog is sporting a new tartan jacket this fall. He’s feeling handsome.

Hope you all are having a good weekend! I'm feeling a little disconnected from the wider world, here at Multiverse convention in Atlanta. Exhausting, but fun.

My publisher's table at Multiverse. I've spent a lot of time in hotels over the past few years, as part of convention life/book promotion. The only places where the carpet is weirder are laser tag joints. This one looks like the table will soon be attacked by cephalopods.

View from my hotel room last night. In Atlanta for Multiverse Convention. The traffic is prettier when you’re not in it.

I've got a new post up on Medium about how meal plans save me from the chaos of contemporary family life. Do you plan your meals ahead? Or are you more spontaneous with your dinner? medium.com/we-paw-bloggers/why

I got two walks in the woods today y’all! Crunchy leaf time is my favorite!

My new bookmarks arrived in time for my next convention. They match my banner. I’m starting to look so professional guys.

Got a paper copy of my latest anthology in the mail today. It’s always such a thrill holding a physical book and knowing that my story is inside.

So for that autobiography and cars article I was talking about yesterday, I got my mom to send me a bunch of old photos. Here’s one of my favorites. It’s me with my best friend at the time in my very first car. Aren’t we cute? Good thing we didn’t know how cute we were at the time.

I had to go to the office this week for a "connect week," and I have learned how very spoiled I've become by the privilege of working at home. It was something I never knew I wanted, but now I will strive to always have.

So how have you all fared during the hurricane? We weren’t in the direct path, but we had some pretty good storms. Lots of downed trees and power outages. No real damage at our house.

I got to see Sparrows tonight on the big screen. I'd never actually seen any of Mary Pickford's work before, and I was pretty impressed. Even more impressed by some of what I heard about her as a entrepreneur. Definitely someone I want to learn more about.

We're getting ready to have a graduation party for our eldest. She graduated in May, but then immediately left for Costa Rica. So, now it's celebration time! So looking forward to showing off my kid and her accomplishments to the wider fam.

Pumpkin, on the other paw, thought the ocean was scary. Though he did enjoy digging in the sand.

Took the fam to the beach yesterday. First time for the doggos. Ghost dog LOVED it. Look at him hopping around like a tiny gazelle!
