First frost I’ve seen in North Carolina so far. Isn’t it pretty?

Uhoh. Looks like I’ve got writer’s block. It’s okay though. Don’t send help.

This is why my favorite coffeeshop is my favorite. Besides the great coffee and excellent pastries, they also have absurd comics. What do your favorite places offer?

It was dim and rainy here today, and too busy for my liking, especially on the last day of my little fall vacation. At least Mother Nature was watching out for me, and sent this beauty to my yard.

Thinking about my great-gran today. Wondering what she would think of how my life has gone. medium.com/@mirymom1/a-woman-o

Well darn it. Christmas and Chanukah overlap this year. (I like it better when they don't). Any other folks here who celebrate both in their households? How do you balance it?

It's looking like we might eat our turkey on the regularly scheduled day after all. Kid has been fever free for 2 days and their energy and appetite are coming back. So, I might be able to let the other kid and her honey come visit without worrying about giving them the flu!

For the Open Book blog hop today, we're talking about Team Dog vs. Team Cat. Do you have a side? (Bonus--most of the posts include animals pictures!) samanthadunawaybryant.blogspot

I'm continuing to work on the 5th and final Menopausal Superhero novel as my NaNoWriMo project, and I'm happy to say that I'm feeling like I'm getting somewhere at long last. Ran across this little teaser I made when book 2 was new. Interesting where Walter and Jessica have ended up now!

We've got a sick kiddo in la Casa Bryant--the flu :-( So that changes our weekend plans a bit. What's your favorite "this makes me feel better" trick?

Mushroom seen on today’s walk. I think it looks like a cookie. Or maybe I just want a cookie.

Ah! Fall in the southern United States, where the plants aren’t sure if they should die back or bloom again.

It's been raining and raining in my corner of North Carolina today, which always makes me sleepy. But the boy-os still need to go out. So, here's Pumpkin putting up with a raincoat in hope of staying a little drier.

On Mondays I do a little blog hop called Open Book. There's a prompt about something to do with writing life and I'm enjoyed doodling around with them. This week we're talking about giving and receiving feedback. My main advice is the same as it is in most aspects of life: choose kindness. How do you deal with feedback? samanthadunawaybryant.blogspot

Getting arty with some pictures of my boy-os. You can't tell they're brothers, can you?

A couple of days ago I was celebrating a publication in 34 Orchard. Today, the publisher hosted a little zoom reception for the authors. if you write dark fiction and you're looking for a positive and supportive publishing experience, I recommend this magazine. 34orchard.com/issues/issue-6/
