Here's a for you. I'm not really sure what I'm doing in this picture, but I'm probably 14 or 15 years old and so very cool in my Nike shirt and side ponytail.

Boy Howdy, but I'm tired today. I did a convention last weekend, and I'm doing my "connect week" at the day job this week (which mean going into the office and socializing face to face). How can this only be Wednesday? How do you keep yourself going when you have no choice but to keep people-ing when you're already at your limit?

We've been curious what our little guys are "made of" ever since we adopted them. Looks like Pumpkin is made of everything little and cute. But as suspected, he doesn't share the chihuahua part of that shows so clearly in his brother.

Hurray! I made it! All set up and ready for fun at Retcon in Cary, NC. Doesn’t my name look cool in that font? Learn more: ret-con.org

I took my youngest on a college visit yesterday. It was great! And the school is a really good fit for the youngest Bryant. But also, how the heck are they old enough to be looking at colleges, and what does that mean about how old we are? Yikes!

How do you tell when your creative projects are "done"? Here's wishing for a toothpick test for my writing life! medium.com/@mirymom1/is-it-don

I'm working on a photo album documenting our trip to Ireland from last summer, a long-delayed gift for my mother. I can *still* remember how terrified I felt, dipping backwards out of the tower at Blarney Castle to kiss the stone!

Hurray for ! We've bought plane tickets and booked our AirBnB--I'll be headed to Old San Juan in a few weeks. Anyone been there and have suggestions for me? This is my first trip to Puerto Rico.

I took myself to the movies last night. I’m a pretty good date. I even sprung for popcorn. It was a older film, It All Came True! 1940 with Humphrey Bogart and Ann Sheridan. I’m a fan of films from the 1940s. Makes me wonder if I was born in the wrong year. Do you watch classic films? What are some of your favorites?

Ran across this old picture of my Dad today and it makes me so happy. Clearly, he has *always* been up to something. Makes me think I need to get better about organizing and sharing all my photographs so that someday my kids can be charmed to realize that I used to be young, too.

If you're good at that, what do you use? I've got paper and digital photographs I'll be trying to organize and share.

Hey, if you've been interested in checking out my Menopausal Superhero series, the first-in-series is free today. amazon.com/gp/product/B07NGN67 @ianthealy is in the same promotion, btw.

I love getting my hair done! It’s the height of self pampering. Just for fun here’s some pictures on the way to my new look. The fun part of this one, at least for me, is that if the wind blows, you’ll see a whole different combination of colors. Have you ever or would you ever color your hair completely a natural colors like this?

makes everything sadder. Will call this this one: lonely dog with hippopotamus. (he wasn’t really lonely. I was sitting 2 feet away on the sofa and there was room for him to sit next to me if he wanted to.)

Oh Lord. It’s time. The kid is learning to drive. Pray for us, if you’re the praying sort.

I had to go to urgent care. No worries, I’m OK. But, I was highly amused by the parking. Where is the impatient parking? Because that’s the parking for me.

One of my fondest childhood memories is going to the cinema with my dad to see Disney animated films. So, I am so happy that my local theater is having a Disney series this season. They kicked it off with 101 Dalmatians which is just as charming as I remembered and Amazing in the detail of its animation. Were animated Disney movies important to you in your youth? Do you still have affection for them now?

As my arthritis and eyesight have gotten worse, more and more of my reading life has become audiobook-based. Audible sent me my stats, but they don't know that I cheat on them with the Hoopla service at my library and ChirpBooks, too. So my *real* numbers are even higher than this.

Are you an reader? What services do you prefer if you are?
