My publisher's table at Multiverse. I've spent a lot of time in hotels over the past few years, as part of convention life/book promotion. The only places where the carpet is weirder are laser tag joints. This one looks like the table will soon be attacked by cephalopods.

View from my hotel room last night. In Atlanta for Multiverse Convention. The traffic is prettier when you’re not in it.

I've got a new post up on Medium about how meal plans save me from the chaos of contemporary family life. Do you plan your meals ahead? Or are you more spontaneous with your dinner? medium.com/we-paw-bloggers/why

I got two walks in the woods today y’all! Crunchy leaf time is my favorite!

My new bookmarks arrived in time for my next convention. They match my banner. I’m starting to look so professional guys.

Got a paper copy of my latest anthology in the mail today. It’s always such a thrill holding a physical book and knowing that my story is inside.

So for that autobiography and cars article I was talking about yesterday, I got my mom to send me a bunch of old photos. Here’s one of my favorites. It’s me with my best friend at the time in my very first car. Aren’t we cute? Good thing we didn’t know how cute we were at the time.

I got to see Sparrows tonight on the big screen. I'd never actually seen any of Mary Pickford's work before, and I was pretty impressed. Even more impressed by some of what I heard about her as a entrepreneur. Definitely someone I want to learn more about.

Pumpkin, on the other paw, thought the ocean was scary. Though he did enjoy digging in the sand.

Took the fam to the beach yesterday. First time for the doggos. Ghost dog LOVED it. Look at him hopping around like a tiny gazelle!

I spent today at BookmarksNC book festival shilling my wares. Did well too! Sold out of 4 horror titles. And sold a lot of book one of my series. It was a new event for me, and it felt good to connect with a new audience. I was a last minute pinch hitter, when a friend who had booked a table had his partner back out. So I got to help a friend, make some money, and spend a very pleasant day among bookish people.

Perks of working from home:cuddles during Zoom meetings. Gotta say, I LOVE working at home.

Good morning everyone! I'm feeling much more myself today and I'm so grateful for that feeling. It's definitely true that health is key to so much! How are you all feeling today?

If defenestration is being thrown out a window, is refenestration being thrown back in?

Pictures from I’m especially proud of catching that bee on the yellow flower. He was busy!

I bought a painting yesterday! There she is on the wall (the octopus is the new art). I love how this positioning has my cephalopod and RBG staring one each other down. Each seems to think the other is a bit sus.

I'm a horror fan, truly. But when I'm watching horror, somehow, I *still* always seem to fall for the jumpscare--even the stupid ones you can see coming a mile away. At least everyone gets a good laugh after I jump and squeal. This message brought to you by another cat in a closet.
