My knee arthritis was diagnosed around '05 but has been a non-issue 95% of the time since then. I think it's because I bike to work ~8 months of the year, 1.5 miles there & back. And take 2 turmeric capsules a day.

I have knee pain for the 1-2 weeks a year when I return to cycling after hanging the bike up for the winter. Which is weird, because when I can't bike to work, I walk.

All of which tells me that if I don't bike a few miles a day after I retire, I'll have arthritis pain.
