Considering the “look” he’s chosen for himself and who he is, I’m not surprised at the supposed cost and guarantee no one is getting rich from his hair. But if indeed he took this and other similar tax deductions he definitely needs to be held accountable.

It takes almost a lifetime to get to the point where you can make a good living for most people in these specialized fields. I imagine it would take someone who has paid their dues and was established in order to have him as a client. There’s no bragging rights when you get to this level.

This field of work is similar to makeup artists where we are expected to work for FREE or for credit when we are just starting out. This lasts many years until you start good relationships with people in the biz but even then the industry is extremely competitive and there are always individuals that will stab you in the back for a job or client.

All of this requires an individual to be at his beck and call and they will incur not only the expense of materials and tools but also travel and other expenses. There are a limited number of people who possess these talents as well as having the rapport and reputation for discretion. Not to mention someone willing to deal with him or sign an NDA.

Quite often hair pieces and or plugs would need to be maintained and someone would have to go in person and apply/implant them and restyle and cut as well as dye his existing hair to match and cut and style his existing hair to blend.

A hair piece like his would have to be hand made. Which means a certain kind of human hair has to be bought, bleached, colored or toned then tied (a few hair strands at a time) by hand on very fine lace then cut and styled. I'm sure he has to have fittings or has maybe sat for a head cast.

I would venture to guess that he probably has a mix of hair plug work and a hair piece. Hair plug work needs to be done by a doctor and even once done he’d still may need maintenance.

THREAD: Trump taking a tax deduction for hair is illegal so I get people have outrage about 70,000 for trumps hair styling. But as far as the amount he reportedly spent, it is conceivable. I'm not defending per se since what he does to his head since it is ridiculously over the top and I don't like tax avoiders but I'd like to offer some perspective why he may be spending that kind of 💰
