The trucks and dumpsters are so heavy and the asphalt so soft with the heat....
More dumpsters have appeared in front of more homes.
I shut down hard our daughter attending Grand Canyon University.
"Why?" she asked.
Years later....
After the strenuous days, lying in the grass is literally "splendor in the grass" here, listening to some great music, drinking margaritas, and not... Moving.
Unless it's to get more margaritas. 😂

A man selling ice cream
Singing Italian songs
All eyes were on me as I tried my best to slide in gripping athletic shoes.
I tried to pop a move but may have only popped my back. Still, I lit some in the crowd with some west coast rep'in Tupac 'California'.
"I saw you out there!" a new friend said, imitating dance moves.
"I'm 58, how did I do?" I asked with a beggar's smile.
"You looked like you were having a good time."
"That's the same as saying I'm 'special'," I shot back. 😂
The night has gone downhill from there.
We were on the fireworks dinner cruise.
The dance floor was an ice cube because the DJ couldn't turn down the bright lights for the buffet.
"I'll keep working on it." He replied.
"Thanks," I said. "Can you play 'Yeah' though maybe to get the dance floor going?"
And yeah, when it got mixed in my wife and I were on the dance floor, melting the ice cube. Then another couple joined us and then another and the rest including an old old asian couple.

On days like this I'm reminded of that line from "Contact".
