I just got word from Israel...
4 members of my extended family in Israel are still missing, presumed hostages or already dead but not ID'd yet. Two little boys, a teenage girl, and an aunt are still missing.
2 are confirmed dead. Father and older daughter who fought back.
I didn't know them personally, we've never met or spoken. But they are my family from my fathers side.

The fact that you didn't personally know them doesn't matter--they were a part of your family, and 2 are gone forever (and possibly more, or are at least experiencing the horrors of being captive by people who have zero conscience or compassion). And all because they're Jewish, which is not a good reason AT ALL.

Even though I do not know them myself, and only know my mother's side of the family via social media and messenger, the hurt and pain does not make it any less.
