They tell you that Jenin is a "refugee camp".
There is a neighborhood in Jenin that used to be a refugee camp, back in the 1960's-70's. But now it's just another neighborhood in the city. It has paved streets, multi-story modern buildings, power and water (both provided by Israel). It has both cable and a plethora of satellite dishes. It has a number of new car dealers including Kia, Skoda, and Sputnik.
It's a city, like many other cities in the Middle East.
@Render They are not hurting- the only thing hurting apparently is their leader's brains if they even have any.
@Render I'm afraid that Netanyahu has squandered almost all the goodwill that Israel has earned over the decades, now leading many friends as well as most skeptics to reflexively assume the worst. I dread to consider what his continued misrule may bring.
Lest you think I'm singling out Israel only, I am well aware of what Trump has done to America's standing and credibility in the world.
They said the exact same things about Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon, because they say the exact same things about every Israeli leader. Even the ones who trade land for peace that never comes.
@Render Neither Begin nor Sharon shook my faith in Israel. For Begin, quite the opposite. Sharon....? At least I'd trade him for Netanyahu in a heartbeat, had I the power.
But I realize you and I disagree, and I value what you write, and I don't know if perhaps you tire of the same old complaints. Maybe I should be quiet.
Settler vigilantes are getting more violent—and Israel’s government is encouraging them from TheEconomist https://www.economist.com/middle-east-and-africa/2023/06/29/settler-vigilantes-are-getting-more-violent-and-israels-government-is-encouraging-them
@Render #76... and Jenin's history is easy to find. If I can find the facts so could she (if she wished to).
"5th largest military" - its not even close-

As long and they keep lying, they will continue to lose support for their terrorism.
"5th largest military force..."
The IDF isn't even in the top 10, by any measure.
"...basically a refugee camp..."
See above.
"...at least 1 in 8..."
LisaBunchaNumbers has no idea if number 8 was a civilian or not. Nor does that account know who killed number 8. But that account is quite certain that terrorist groups have the right to kill Jews, just because they're Jewish.
