80s Satanic Panic Spotlight:

Gary Greenwald, a so-called self-proclaimed Apostle, left a 6-figure job at a sign company in 1978 & founded "The Eagle's Nest" church in Irvine, CA., after allegedly getting a calling.

His 1st targets for exposing the work of Satan at were Rock Music, Heavy Metal, & Punk Rock, but expanded to cartoons, toys, martial arts, yoga, and statues & jewelry with a perceived occult influence.

While still active, all his claims have been debunked.

Phil Phillips, a Fundamentalist Christian from Texas who ruined many childhoods with his books, "Turmoil in The Toybox" (1986), "Halloween and Satanism" (1987), & "Saturday Morning Mind Control" (1991).

His fire seems to have died out in recent years, but his books led many a gullible parent or grandparent or aunt or uncle to cause more trauma than good to children with his propaganda and debunked lies.

The Satanic Panic may also have roots in Canada, as another debunked source known as "Michelle Remembers" came out around the same time "The Satan Seller" came out.

So, this is supposedly the man whose debunked book & story, "The Satan Seller" started the infamous Satanic Panic.

I used to have a few of his comedy cassettes... mostly very funny material on SIDE A, but when you flipped over to SIDE B, it wasn't quite as funny and also was rather graphic.

He had finally been exposed in 1992 by Cornerstone Magazine.
